Simon Needham
Project Manager, Workplace Coach, and Workplace Mediator in Devon, England
Hi, I'm Simon.
I help people and organisations make sense of complexity.
Professionally, I work in digital transformation within healthcare, helping teams navigate the intersection of people, process, information and technology. My focus is on understanding problems, establishing clear principles and delivering practical change that improves outcomes.
My career has taken me through science, technology and programme leadership, giving me a broad perspective on how organisations function and how complex challenges can be translated into practical solutions.
Alongside my professional work, I am an active volunteer, supporting youth development, governance and community initiatives through organisations including Sea Cadets and the Church of England. These experiences have strengthened my belief that successful leadership is often about service, coaching, mediation and helping others find clarity.
As a neurodivergent professional (Dyslexic, ADHD and Autistic), I am particularly interested in accessibility, systems thinking and the role of AI as a tool for augmented thinking. I believe technology is at its most powerful when it helps people communicate ideas, remove barriers and realise their potential.
When I'm not working or volunteering, you'll often find me exploring homelab projects, open-source software, personal knowledge management, automation and the occasional overly ambitious technical idea.
I'm always interested in conversations about:
- Digital Transformation
- Systems Thinking
- Healthcare Technology
- Leadership, Coaching and Mediation
- AI and Augmented Thinking
- Neurodiversity and Accessibility
- Volunteering and Community Leadership
Because, more often than not, the solution starts with understanding the problem.
