I'm an internet entrepreneur and expert in online reputation management. I'm well known for my ability to design effective and long term solutions to issues faced by organisations in today’s digital age. As a key spokesperson in the industry, I regularly appear in internet and marketing press. I'm currently the founder and managing director of Igniyte, a Leeds and London-based company, which has been managing the online reputation of individuals, brands and companies since 2009.My career
A graduate in BSC Economics and MSC Computing from the University of Bradford, I went on to establish an award-winning internet design agency Brand New Media in 1994. The business advised companies on how the emerging internet market would affect traditional businesses. By 2000, the Leeds-based company had grown to 40 staff with clients including Heinz, Procter and Gamble, and Tesco.
I sold Brand New Media to French PLC Fi System in 2000 but stayed at the company for another 18 months before leaving to set up a new agency Swamp, which went on to become one of the best known digital agencies in the UK. Swamp’s portfolio included a number of internationally recognised organisations such as as Umbro, La Redoute and Best Western Hotels.
In a survey by the industry magazine ‘Revolution’, Swamp was voted by clients as the number one agency in the UK for creativity, return on investment and technical capability. In 2005, I was awarded the prestigious Leeds Media’s Profile Award in recognition for his part in raising the profile of Leeds as a thriving and creative centre for the media, marketing and e-business industries.
In 2006, I sold Swamp to Brahm (now Brass Agency), the largest independent marketing agency outside of London. I formed Igniyte an online reputation management consultancy in 2009. Igniyte provide businesses and individuals with a range of services from review management to brand and personal reputation management.
