Simone Rey is the playground, laboratory, studio, and dream land of friends, Laura Alvarez and M. Byron Trent.

Laura is a multimedia artist (www.lauraalvarez.net) and art teacher (www.paradisoarts.com) who is inspired by the Reggio Approach.

Byron's is a Los Angeles native of Latin (on her mom's side) and Hungarian decent, who has always been led by her passions for cooking, art, literature and family.

Laura has shown her art which includes paintings, installation, and music internationally. She has illustrated bilingual children's books for Lectura Press and written art reviews for Artweek.

Byron's passion for food has grown through her study of nutrition and how to keep a whole family healthy and happy through what they eat. She started writing poetry at fourteen and received her B.A. in Literature from UCLA. Simone Rey is one of the ways she continues her love for books and writing.
