Simonetta Wyatt
counsellor in London
Hi, my name is Simonetta Wyatt, and I am a counsellor living in London.
I was born in Siena, Italy but have lived in England for the majority of the last 30 years.
I have a degree in Political Science from the University of Siena, and a master’s in European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium).
After taking a Diploma in Marketing and Foreign Trade, I worked for a consortium of small and medium sized enterprises promoting their exports. Four years later, I became its Chief Executive.
I left my job when I married my British partner and joined him in his diplomatic posting in Nairobi, Kenya. We have since also lived in Brussels and Rome.
During this time, we had two children, and I retrained as an Italian teacher; working for different organisations including the United Nations in Rome, and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London. I have also worked as a private tutor.
However, I have always been interested in people and their emotional struggles, and after having myself gone through a difficult patch and recovered with therapeutic support, I decided to train as a counsellor.
I have since then earned my Diploma, and have been working for a counselling and psychotherapy service based in Feltham, where I provide counselling for people with a wide range of mental issues.
I have now decided to start my own private practice.
Please visit my page on the BACP website linked above to read my counselling profile in full.
I look forward to hearing from you.
