Simon Hartley is a cybersecurity leader at IBM, leveraging experience from successful startups, Fortune 100 firms, and expertise in cyber, mobility, quantum, and AI. He actively engages with stakeholders to develop compelling and trusted products in next-gen infrastructure. In addition, he is a published author, public speaker, and startup advisor.
Simon previously led quantum safe infrastructure initiatives with $10B startup Quantinuum and launched a government-grade mobile security platform with CIS Mobile after shaping hardened solutions at Apple and Samsung for federal use. Simon co-founded RunSafe Security, a $50M automotive cybersecurity startup, and served as VP at Kaprica Security (acquired by Samsung).His prior leadership roles include HP, Red Hat, and Capgemini.
A US citizen, Simon holds a CISSP, PMP, BS Physics, MS Law & Cyber, and an MBA. He is continuing upskilling with a part-time doctorate in cybersecurity at Purdue (D.Tech).
