Simon McKenzie

Tanunda South Australia

I have been a classroom teacher for 34 years, specialising in the teaching of Ancient History and English. I have held a number of administrative positions in a range of high schools. From 1981 I taught in a number of Tasmanian schools before spending nearly 20 years in Queensland.

In July of 2012, I took up the newly created position of Learning Technologies Coordinator at Aquinas. I am passionate about the use of Web 2.0 tools and iPads in the modern classroom. As a confident and (I hope) engaging presenter, I welcome every chance to "spread the word" about the need to transform teaching in the digital era. In January of 2015, I moved to South Australia's beautiful Barossa Valley. I am the eLearning Manager at Faith Lutheran College in Tanunda. You might also know me as a regular contributor to Australian Teachers Magazine and Fractus Learning.
