Simon Elliot Stanford

I am an award winning media professional with over 25 years experience in diverse roles.

" My overriding concern as a media professional is to create and facilitate an intimate and respectful meeting with people. I am born an Africa into an African society and believe that through our meetings with and portrayal of African society it is important to celebrate the achievements of ordinary people while at the same time exploring and analysing the challenges that hamper development. "

" Over nearly 3 decades I have witnessed and recorded an extraordinary and tumultuous period in the history of my continent. I have shared joy and tragedy, seen corruption neglect, abuse and cruelty but most often I have been witness to extraordinary courage, compassion and generosity and it is this that I believe is the bedrock of African society. Given RESPECT, RESOURCES and OPPORTUNITY, Africans will develop the continent's greatest resource, its PEOPLE."
