Simon Turnbull

Born and raised in Buckinghamshire, England, I went on to study Biology at The University of Leeds where I also represented the university's football (soccer) team. Following my education, I followed my passion of coaching football to children aged between 4-18, directly working for professional soccer clubs in the US. After spending some wonderful time across different parts of the US, I came back to England to enjoy a successful career as a retail store manager on behalf of Blockbuster Entertainment, where I had worked throughout university.

Although I was tempted to continue to move up the career ladder within retail management, I was brought to the nation's capital by the bright lights of Google, working for the then largest Search Engine Marketing agency, Latitude. Following a fast-paced career that has involved working for Europe's leading specialist agencies in Search, Social Media, Online Brand Reputation and Affiliate Marketing; I moved across to become the MD of 20:20 Media, part of one of the UK's largest full-service digital agencies with over 250 staff. My team and I worked with the other group companies to deliver integrated campaigns that spanned Creative, Mobile, Email and Web Design & Development.

With a career that had culminated in the full range of specialist online services, I decided to take the plunge in 2011 by setting up Baked Marketing; an international digital advertising agency that is built on developing win-win long-term relationships and being generous to both staff and charity. Outside of work, I am trying to juggle running races from 5K all the way up to training for ultra marathons, together with other passions such as travel and spending time with my friends; all three at the same time if possible!
