Sina Bari MD is a Stanford-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has also emerged as a key contributor to development and information technology. He is recognized for his role in shaping the growing field of Medical Artificial Intelligence. His journey into medicine and technology began at an early age after the passing of his father. While still a child, he started translating computer science textbooks for his mother, introducing him to computer programming. By reaching high school, he had already gained experience in advanced UNIX networking and created biological simulation software using early parallel supercomputers. These skills provided financial and educational support as he pursued his academic path through college and medical school. He graduated at the top of his class from Stanford School of Medicine. He earned a place in the competitive accelerated residency program for plastic and reconstructive surgery at Stanford Hospital and Clinics.

In January 2022, he stepped into the role of Senior Director of Medical Artificial Intelligence at a data solutions company. Over the previous three years, he had built and led the division from its initial concept into a leading operation, achieving over $4 million in annual recurring revenue under his guidance. His work has focused on improving healthcare delivery by applying AI to critical areas such as radiology, robotic surgery, endoscopy, and pharmaceutical safety. With a clinical background, he focuses on improving patient care and advancing medical AI through efficient, accurate training.

Previously, he was Chief Innovation Officer at a medical technology company. He directed innovation efforts in that role and supported AI development in dermatology, ophthalmology, and otolaryngology. He also provided clinical insights that shaped strategic approaches for business development. Earlier in his medical career, he worked as a reconstructive and plastic surgeon at a veterans’ hospital in Palo Alto before moving into private practice as a consultant.

Sina Bari MD completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2000. He earned his medical degree from Stanford in 2006 and completed his residency between 2006 and 2012, focusing on plastic and reconstructive surgery.
