As a kid, I hated nap time. Mom wanted the rest, so she kept me busy with a few sheets of paper and color pencils. That 'nap' time turned out to be the reason for my passion - art.
Born an Indian, I was brought up on a daily dose of mythological and heroic stories. Most my paintings depict 'Indianness', the stories I've grown listening to.
I try to capture the beauty of Indian traditions, beliefs and people through my art. I hope I am able to bring the richness of our culture to the world.
I experiment with various media, but am partial toward oil on canvas.
I am also trying to diversify my art, into what I see - here and now. Seattle, the lifestyle, the serenity and the silent noise.
