About The Artist. Sinmiloluwa Oyewale - professionally known as Sinmi Jay - is a singer- song writer, creative entrepreneur, self-taught, versatile performance artist & musician. Currently, he is experimenting with Afro Contemporary Music, blending traditional African rhythms and genres (afro, Juju, Highlife) with electronic music. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, he believes that the city is his biggest inspiration. He is the third born child in a music oriented-family. During the past years, he has developed, produced and performed songs with numerous Nigerian, as well as international artists.

In 2017, he founded the band, Sinmi Jay & Gbadun squad, a quartet, whose seamless songs and renditions traverse multiple yet complimentary, genres: Afrobeat/highlife, neo soul/ experimental music & story-telling /folklore. They eventually arrived at a genre called "Saábàdà". Fusion of Yoruba music and modern electronic sound. The members are Tobiloba Babatunde aka Tobass on the drums, Tobi Oguntade aka T. Bass on the bass guitar and Elijah godfred aka magic fingers on the keyboard. Their most recent release is the single ; YÉRORÒ.
