I am an Australian woman in her thirties married to a Ghanaian man with one 4 year old daughter and a host of other family members that come with being married to a man who is one of twenty three in a country where family is everything. I am a Buddhist and my husband is a Rastafarian. We are vegequarians. We love living in Ghana more than Australia but at present financially it is not an option.
Sometimes I struggle to come to terms with my life as it is and sometimes I am blown away by it. What interests me most is my connections with the women around me and how it changes from continent to continent, country to country, town to town and to the individual. What connects me to some women and not to others. Why are there some women who live as I do that I do not get along with and why are there are some women who are so different from me that I have strong bonds with that never seem to fade? By writing and musing and writing some more perhaps I will come to solve my riddle.
