Sitka Herring Festival

Sitka Herring Festival is a collaborative effort to promote the ecological and cultural importance of Pacific herring to Sitka and the North Pacific Ocean. Activities for the festival include:

• Kid's hering derby
• Herring dip
• Educational unit in the schools
• Community potluck

We all know herring are an important part of Sitka's ecosystem. It's time we start celebrating this important fish!
