Simon Cockell

I’m Simon, a 33 year old husband, father and bioinformatician, in something approaching that order. I work at Newcastle University, in the Bioinformatics Support Unit. We provide analysis services for life science researchers (and some other disciplines too) across the University. My main responsibility is, on paper, to support proteomics research, but in practice I take on all kinds of work. A developmental biologist/geneticist by training, I like the fact that my job keeps me in touch with ‘real’ scientists.
