SK Groll
Storyteller, Speaker, and Scholar in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
I am a creative researcher and communicator in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. My mixed-method approach to research blends GIS, qualitiative, and digital data. I take a detailed, human-centered approach to big issues to leverage data that can win over hearts and minds. Contact for more information regarding data consultations.
As a researcher for the Justice Matters Project, I am completing an ethnography of racial justice resistance in Baton Rouge, LA. I am particularly interested in the way digital and physical geography co-create the experience and process of resistance.
Currently, I work with the Poetry Alliance of Baton Rouge, Communication Across the Curriculum at Louisiana State University, and the Justice Matters Project in the LSU Geography and Anthropology department. Past research has contended with gender violence, sexual and reproductive health, youth education, and body image.
