Sarah Cavender

I am a wife and mother, student and writer, and strive to balance the four while still managing to keep a sense of autonomous self.

I am currently seeking my Master of Arts Degree in English Education at Colorado State University, with the intent of teaching grades 6-12.

I am very interested in combining my love for writing with my love for teaching. I am in the midst of exploring different opportunities for co-mingling creative writing with the standard literacy practices used in the public school system, in hopes of finding a balance between using the tried and true ways of teaching literacy and writing with the integrative use of creative writing in the classroom.

I hold a BA in Creative Writing, received from Colorado State University in 2008.
