I live in Phoenix and work in the hotel industry. As part of my job, I travel 50% of the time to cities in North and South America. I try to take some time to enjoy the places I go to and want to remember where I've been and what I've learned. I'm not an aspiring writer because I'm too busy aspiring to retire. I never watched the Ally McBeal show, but my old co-worker nick-named me Sheils McBeals which seemed fitting for this blog. What else...I'm Persian like the rug, a CPA and CFE, politically and religiously independent, and I'm not married or have kids. I love my friends, family, Riis, and Henry (our cat).

I figured a blog would be the best way to record things that are going on in my life, specifically my work travels, to have something to look back on. And since my mom doesn't even know how to text let alone use the internet, I don't anticipate many views. There's no better way to start a blog than with low expectations so here we go!
