MY STORY
I started out as an industrial leasing agent, helping landlords and developers fill up their buildings. It was a great career; I did very well. I won “top producer” awards and was a leader of my professional association. We celebrated the agents who did the most dollar volume each year and had the largest single transactions. I was right there with them.
Then I had the great fortune to have a couple of clients call me back for a second and then third transaction. I got the chance to see how their operations improved with the first facilities and we partnered together to set criteria for the second and third facilities that would generate additional benefits in their efficiency and performance. I took my inside knowledge of the landlord side of the business and was able to help negotiate increased functionality, flexibility and cost containment according to that individual client’s needs. I was hooked! Helping companies leap forward in productivity was a lot more energizing and satisfying than filling up landlord’s buildings. I never looked back.
