Sarah Kurdi Belendez
Small Business Owner in Jeddah, KSA
Something I've learned in my life is that it has no meaning without our fellow human beings. Everyone I have met has added something to my life- and this is why I place great value on making new connections and collaborating with people.
My name is Sarah Kurdi Belendez- half Saudi half Mexican, born in the USA, raised in Lebanon, worked in Dubai and China. The world is so small right now, and I feel like we now have the luxury to be doing what we love and what brings us wealth. It's not an "either or", it's an "and".
What I love doing involves meeting people, travel, arts, cultures, and everything within the lines of those activities. I have started an online business which forms a family between different cultures and offers modern garments and accessories with traditional designs of different parts of the world.
Food being a major motor of my life, I always look forward to meals. The reason why I love food so much is because of the love and expertise which it is crafted with. The processes involved to make a perfect meal. The people we share it with. The smells and aesthetics to it. The joy I get from having that bite. My relationship with food is something so special that I felt a business should also be run like that.
The love and expertise which the artisans invest to craft a perfect garment, the traditional processes inherited by previous generations, the laughs and encounters of being involved in these social processes, the joy the customer feels when they put on that unique magical piece, and the service we aim to provide to our clients to have them "Be Seen" and feel like the most important person in the world. This is what business should be, a lifestyle of constant improvement and social encounters.
Hence, I really think that we really can do something we love and make a living. It's just connecting the right dots within your life and with other people.
Let's connect and be part of each other's journies, no matter where on earth we are!
