Skyler Whorton

Boston, MA

Proud alumnus of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, MA. I've been a NSF GK-12 fellow researching intelligent tutoring systems and education technology at WPI. Graduated in May 2013 with a M.S. in Computer Science.

I caught the travel bug while on a university trip to Israel - this is me atop the ramparts of old Jerusalem.

I recently applied my web and data skills at the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Data Science for Social Good Fellowship to solve the housing foreclosure crisis in the Chicago area.

I spent a whirlwind six months at Wayfair.com as a full-stack engineer before deciding to scratch my "big data" itch. My next challenge is to wrangle data on HubSpot's analytics team.

I'm passionate about web technology and applying it to important problems. My goal in life is to use my technical skills to help improve people's lives.

In my free time, I cook and bake vegan food for friends and family, play fingerstyle acoustic guitar and listen to way too much public radio.
