Biography: Sky Palmer

Sky Palmer, also known as SkyDirects, is an American film director and founder of a tech startup Pressful.com. He was born on 6th May 1988 in San Bernardino, California. He started his journey in the American film industry as a personal videographer of Nick Cannon, a versatile American comedian, actor, and television presenter, and filmed him at various events. He worked with Nick Cannon on the set of VH1’s hit show Wild ‘n Out.​

From films to being a tech founder, the entrepreneurial journey for Sky Palmer was quite eventful. Being into the films he realized how important it was to get good press and full publicity for being successful, especially in the film and celebrity business. He realized it the hard way when Sky Palmer himself failed to raise crowdfunding for his film venture only due to lack of getting the much-required publicity. And, thus the idea of founding a tech startup was born only to provide a platform for celebrities and budding entrepreneurs to get themselves publicized through a video interview by a professional journalist, and amply highlighted in the hundreds of mainstream and digital media outlets as well.

The failure of casting the debut movie “Run Nixon” due to lack of funds led to another big thing. Sky Palmer achieved another milestone in his career by being a tech founder. He established a tech startup called Pressful.com aimed at providing press coverage to celebrities which is essential for all in the film business. The failure of raising funds for his debut movie “Run Nixon” due to lack of any press coverage and the need to fix this issue ultimately prompted Sky Palmer to chart a new career path of being a tech founder along with his partner and co-founder Mich Vital. Pressful was thus born with an idea to get journalists from around the world and getting people interviewed remotely. As a tech founder, Sky Palmer wants to become one of the youngest Black billionaires in the thriving tech space.
