Recent graduate and youngest ever Resident of the prestigious Canadian Film Centre Directors Lab, Slater Jewell-Kemker has been making films since she was six. An award winning filmmaker and climate activist, Slater has been featured by Forbes twice: once for her environmental documentary AN INCONVENIENT YOUTH, and most recently for her CFC short film STILL which explores domestic violence and infatuation.

STILL premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, landing her in Hollywood Reporterʼs Next Gen Canadian Filmmakers as one of 15 filmmakers under 30 to watch. She is currently in development on her debut fictional feature RIBCAGE and involved in several other narrative film projects.
