Founder and faculty, Playful Systems group at the MIT Media Lab, 2012-2016. Founding and contributing editor, MIT Press Journal of Design and Science. I remain a Research Affiliate at the Lab.

In 2004, co-founded Area/Code (acquired to become Zynga New York in 2011.) Area/Code was one of the earliest pioneers in location-based games, and it’s work has been recognized commercially, in extensive mainstream press, as well as in museum collections like MoMA.

Co-founded Everybody at Once (tho all credit goes to Kenyatta Cheese and team) and Collective Decision Engines ( with Glen Weyl and team.

Worked in strategy and as creative director at DDB, Chiat, SS+K.

Invested in Pienso, Timehop, Makers Row, Burner, Poplar. Advisor to Electric Objects, Knotch, Innovid. Consulting at large.

Taught at NYU/ITP, MIT, Cooper Union, Fabrica.

Vice Chair, Cooper Union Board of Trustees.
