Established in 1949, Grandma and Grandpa Klein opened the world's first mattress store in NY on Dykeman Street. Uncle Herb and Jeff Klein’s father Fred started Kleinsleep in 1953 and when the business was sold in 1993, Jeff kept the original CT Kleinsleep stores and re-named them Sleep etc. Jeff founded the Swedish bed division in 1999 called Svenska Beds and he has been importing some of the world’s best beds to sell alongside fantastic hand-picked domestic brands.
