Scott is an analyst, consultant, speaker, strategist and writer on topics related to customer experience, big data, eCommerce, and digital content technology. He believes the changing landscape of technology combined with the forces of consumer empowerment are transforming business as we know it, and he strives to provide pragmatic advice and clarity to help organizations turn digital disruption into digital advantage. He is the Founder and President of Digital Clarity Group (DCG), a research-based advisory firm focused on the content, technologies and practices that drive world-class customer experience, and he is the elected President of the 30,000-member Content Management Professionals association. He is the Lead Judge for the WCM and eCommerce categories of the CODiE Awards, the most prestigious award in the industry given to the best products annually by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), and he is the host of CMS-Connected, a monthly television show focused on the trends and happenings in the content and digital marketing industries.
Scott has had a passion for content management since leading the development of his first large-scale intranet for Starwood Hotels in the late 90's. Since then, he has led ECM, WCM and portal engagements for more than 30 Fortune 500's. Prior to DCG, he was the Lead Analyst of the Web Content Management practice at the Gilbane Group. Whether leading a workshop or speaking at a conference, he gets his biggest (work-related) thrills in front of a crowd, sharing his knowledge and passion.
Scott has an interest in helping children with autism and autism-spectrum disorders and is the Vice Chairman of the Board at the School for Language and Communication Development in NYC. When he's not traveling the world to speak or run digital agency- / technology-selection projects for clients, Scott can be found on Long Island coaching one of his three children’s sports teams or rooting for his beloved Chicago Bears / Cubs / Bulls.
