Scout 5COUT

Scout is a singer-songwriter and actor from Brooklyn, N. Y., based in New York City. His style shows influence of various musical genre which came before him, including Classic Soul, Funk, Hip-Hop, R&B, Doo Wop, Blues, and Rock.

Scout was walking through a NYC train station when he hard the sound of a 5 member Acoustic Vocal group and it change the direction of his life. That was when he decided to become a singer. He formed his first group a quartet Called U-Turn that changed its name a became a trio called In-Vest. It was a a member of That group that he learned the basic of harmony and music on the streets of NYC.

After getting the basics down he started doing shows around NYC at clubs such as Chicago Blues, Manny's Car Wash, Nell's, Aurthur's Tavern, Club 101, Groove, Cafe Wha?, Terra Blues And Prohibition.

It was not long after this that Scout was hired to do background vocals for Andrew Williams a singer- songwriter from the 1960's. He arranged background vocals for Mister Williams and back ground Harmonies for the record Mr. Rhthym.

Shortly after that he worked with house music DJ Dennis Ferrer And Co -wrote and released the song "Reach for Freedom" which became a cult classic.

During that time he formed a new group call GroundStone that specialized in Classic Soul and R&B but Acoustic versions of the songs. Using four or five singers and an Upright Bass they were able to create incredible harmonies and a powerful sound. They became one of the NYC Tri-State Areas preeminent Classic Soul Groups.

It was during an event that GroundStone was performing at that he was approached to audition for the Trans Siberian Orchestra. The group has a Progressive rock & Symphonic Rock sound that they thought he would be perfect for. Exposed to the country on his largest stage yet he wowed the audiences with his passionate renditions of "Christmas Nights In Blue" and "Proud Mary". As a result he toured with them from 2007-2010.

He took off from touring to help take care of his family as they needed him.
Now he's back and in honor or the 5 men that inspired him to become a singer he's changed the spelling of his name to 5cout as he's stepping up to share his own sound to the world.
