Sandra Markus is a Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology/ SUNY, in New York City.

She developed and initiated the Digital Spa, an annual technology summer camp for faculty in the school of Art and Design. The spa supports a collaborative learning environment where faculty learn about emerging technologies, and how to integrate these new practices into their pedagogy.

She currently co-teaches the first experimental, interdisciplinary course offered at FIT, Digital Literacy for Designers, offered to all students in the School of Art and Design.

She is working towards completing her doctoral degree at Teachers College, Columbia University in the department of Communication, Media, and Learning Technologies Design. She completed her Ed.M. in 2012 in Instructional Technology and Media. Her area of research is technology policy in higher education, with a specific focus on faculty development.

I am interesting in the intersection between technology, education and design.
