Born in Masbate, Philippines in 1994, Slye Joy Serrano obtained his B. A. in Political Science from the University of the Philippines (cum laude).
He is a recipient of the Philippine Senate Gold Medal for Academic Excellence and the Gerry Roxas Leadership Award. He is also a member of the Gerry Roxas Honour Society.
Today, his research and academic interest include political theory and analysis, international politics, comparative politics and human rights among others.
