SANDRA MACKIN

I remember a number of years ago talking to someone after Bible Study about what lessons we had learned from THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT that night and she said that it was all well and good to have principles, but you can't follow through with them in business.YIKES! I disagreed strenuouslywith her, but she said that I didn't really work in the real world because I was comfortably situated as a high school teacher. ( I can tell that there are a couple of sympathetic groans out there.)
What she was saying was that it was impossible to be ethical and successful in business at the same time. This is so very untrue in my opinion and from my 2 year stint in the "real world" of business at a Computer School.
Unethical behaviour will lead to loss of clients because people will lose faith in you the more they see this behaviour. It is a logical conclusion that they will lose confidence in you and your business if you cannot be trusted.
This is the rule I bide by in my business of resume writing and I have found in the long run I am further ahead because of it. At least I can sleep at nights
