Aly Taylor Band

Clark Beasley taught me how to play my 6 string back in 2001. Kimberly Perry taught me how to perform. Music runs my life. I spent most of 2010 on a bus with The Band Perry. I've been singing since I was born, I strapped on my first guitar at the age of 9, and I've been performing for a decade.
I'm no Coal Miner's Daughter, but “I’ve got country in my genes”. I could sing rock n roll, but country music comes natural. My name is Aly Taylor and I’m just a small town girl.

I picked up the guitar during my senior year at South Greene High School. Country music has been a part of my life from the time I was born. After watching Garth Brooks electrify a packed house at Reunion Arena in Dallas in 1992, I wanted to be able to do the same thing. Since that time, guitar heroes such as Brad Paisley and Keith Urban have become my strongest influences. I'm Brandon Rohr...and that's how country boys roll.

I've been playing drums since I was thirteen. I taught myself to play by imitating other drummers and playing along with music. Eventually, I started playing with a youth group worship band and I've played in worship bands ever since.
As I've played drums and become more involved in music, I've continually been drawn to a heavier, darker side of music; Metal, Rock, Hardcore etc. In all honesty, I never expected to end up playing country music, but here I am and I hope to play with the Aly Taylor Band for a very long time. Being a part of the ATB has most definitely helped me grow as a musician and I've enjoyed every minute of it.
Some of the drummers and bands that have influenced me the most are: Matt Greiner of August Burns Red, Jason Gray - my first drum mentor, Gene Krupa, Cobus Potgieter, Atom Willard of Angels & Airwaves, Aaron Lunsford of As Cities Burn, Brent "Duck" Duckett of Becoming the Archetype, Sleeper, and so many others.
I'm Jeremy Shelnutt, rock faces. Laus Deo Semper.

The 3 of us played together for the very first time on March 28, 2010. Doing our own thing up to that point, but on that day we joined forces.
