Sanya Marin

I am not your average Texan. I have lived in the pacific coast for about half of my life until my family and I decided to settle in San Antonio. The adjustment was difficult, but I have been able to develop many friendships and learn about a whole different culture along the way. In my spare time, I like to travel, eat, and check Buzzfeed every second. My interests involve cooking, (I can make a mean butternut squash soup) and most importantly, color guard. Color guard allows to me escape my troubles in a way that provides me with the ability to use my frustration to create something beautiful. Being captain of the color guard has also provided me with challenges of responsibility and the ability to deal with stressful situations. While I don't plan on continuing the sport in college, I will definitely bring the wonderful memories and lessons that I have experienced. In the future, I would love to work in obstetrics, and be able to help women carry out safe pregnancies. I plan to make a difference in their lives and affect them in a positive way. I can't wait to see what the future holds for me.
