Within my academic expertise, I have concluded my 5-year university degree in Translation (Interpreting). My experience in the European Commission's DGT has enabled me to develop my translation technical skills. While at the Portuguese public television station, I had the opportunity of subtitling for the deaf and hard-of-hearing. After 2 years as in-house translator and 7 years as freelance translator, I eventually felt the need to start my own company. Currently, at SMARTIDIOM, as General Manager, I'm responsible for challenging tasks such as developing strategic plans for the growth of the company, contacting with clients from different origins, coordinating several teams of professionals, recruiting in-house and out-house staff, translating and proofreading of technical and specialised contents and much more.
