Based in Fresno, California, for more than 20 years, Smartway Express, Inc., is a refrigerated transport company that has grown from a single-truck operation to now maintaining a fleet of some 50 trucks and 100 trailers. The award-winning company specializing in transporting meat and cheese throughout the western portion of the United States. Smartway Express, Inc., employs highly skilled drivers, many of whom have been part of the company for 10-plus years.

Committed to reducing its carbon footprint and preserving the environment, the company belongs to the EPA’s SmartWay Transport Partnership, where it implements a number of practices to cut back on carbon emissions and promote sustainability in its transportation operations.

Smartway Express also gives back to the local community through involvement with several area charitable organizations and volunteer groups focused on providing food to those in need across the West, including the San Joaquin County Food Bank in Manteca, California; the Crossroads Food Bank in Portland, Oregon; and the Roadrunner Food Bank in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
