SIYABONGA MATHEBULA

I am a student at the University of Johannesburg currently studying bachelor's of Education with my subjects of specialization being Mathematics and Life Sciences for the Senior and FET phases. I am also a teacher at Edify Maths. My interests range from education to technology. I am also interested in fitness, music, and travel. In addition, I am also a tutor in the Botany and Plant biotechnology department for second-year Life Sciences students. As a future aspiring teacher, I believe that all students are unique and have great potential that they can bring to their education. However, this needs a mentor, a guide, and a facilitator to direct them to their fullest potential which I would be. That said, my mission is to assist my students to express themselves, help them accept who they are as well as embrace the differences of others. This would ensure their psychological safety. Moreover, knowing that the future of the world rests in my hands brings me joy because, I get to prepare students for the real world in the sense that their creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills in technology and traditional encounters would be developed and improved which is a necessity for the 21st century.
