Everyone makes transitions in life. Each person reacts differently when they stumble across this inevitable process. Your reaction to change is what defines who you are.

I grew up a Florida Gators fan. As one could imagine, suddenly switching to cheering for arguably their biggest rival is quite a transition. I am not a fan of change; I like when things I am comfortable with stay the same. In a matter of seconds I had to switch from blue to red.

The first part of my life I grew up in south Florida. My dad accepted a job in Atlanta so I left my warm sunny home for Georgia. This was one of the first big transitions in my life. I reacted as best one can when leaving their life for something new. however, one thing in that transition stayed constant. My love for the gators. I defended them against all my Bulldawg friends. In my lifetime I said a lot of bad things about the Dawgs.

The day I was accepted into UGA I gave up my love for gators. I suddenly cheered against them and learned to hate them. I had to transition into an entirely new team and the life that comes with it. As a student I face many new scenarios taking me out of my comfort zone. I plan on taking my future transitions one at a time just like I did when I went from blue to red.
