As an enthusiast in both geological research and Arabic, I am so glad that I got the opportunity to explore how I could combine these two interests by studying in Jordan as a Fulbright researcher. I specifically studied the seismicity of the Dead Sea Transform Fault with Professor Zuhair El-Isa at the University of Jordan in Amman. We compiledhistorical and modern earthquake records with new developments in data to further characterize the region's seismic frequency. Besides this project, I also worked with professor Professor El-Isa on several applied geophysics projects, including the assessment of groundwater flow in southern Jordan and the planning of a power plant's location north of Amman.

I am now living in the Boston area and working as a geologist for Inland Professional Corporation, a small environmental firm. I specialize in assessing geology-related aspects of our projects, such as groundwater flow, stratigraphy, bedrock topography, and sample assessment. Together with my associates at IPC, we work tirelessly to provide quality products with integrity, ensuring environmentally friendly solutions that fit within our clients' goals.
