Sophie Meridien

I am an MLIS student studying at Florida State University in Tallahassee. With a focus in youth services and children's librarianship, I aim to inspire children through the power of literature and programming targeted at undeserved communities.

I believe literacy is key in teaching today's young generation. In becoming a children's librarian, I am to do my part in ensuring all children can read a book in which they see themselves. Compassion, patience, and striving for diverse perspectives are the values in which my librarianship prescribes.
