Sue Fenske

Colorado Springs, CO

For more than 20 years, I have worked with organizations in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors to generate improved performance and desired outcomes through effective structuring of operations, creative development of programming and partnerships, and focused delivery of targeted messaging. I have devised business development and communications strategies for companies in health care, engineering, entertainment, education, banking, and social services, including complete marketing strategy and action plans, public/media/government relations, organizational assessment and restructuring, and change management. My experience as a business owner and executive has honed my ability to identify critical growth and sustainability opportunities and challenges and to devise effective strategies to ensure success. As a fund development professional with many years of experience working in higher education, I have consistently hit revenue targets by successfully aligning key organizational objectives with the philanthropic goals of donors.

An alumna of Stephens College and University of Louisville, I have earned an MBA and bachelor’s degrees in engineering science and communications. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, my husband Thomas and I have two sons: Taylor, an ensign in the U.S. Navy, and Tucker, a junior at Western Kentucky University.
