Smiley Davis
Born & Raised in Detroit Michigan but my travels as a recording artist, spokesmodel, radio personality, video host & commentator has taken me around the world.
Fresh out of High School (Cooley High-Detroit) I signed a major record deal with Bryant Records. My first single "Smiley but not friendly" was certified gold which allowed me to go on tour and experience the pro's & con's of the music industry at a very young age (1989-1991)
(1991-1993) I was hired as a spokesmodel and product specialist for Chrysler Corporation. I had the pleasure of introducing concept cars such as The Viper, Neon, Intrepid & The Venom while traveling around the world.
My travels continued with the North American International Auto Show for an additional 4 years when Subaru of America (1993-1997) made me an offer to join their team as a product specialist and spokesmodel.
After several years of traveling with the Auto Show I was ready to pursue other options, preferably in fashion. I was hired on the spot to travel with the Ebony Fashion Fashion (1997-1998) as the Commentator and Coordinator.
While taking a break from touring I was scouted out to host my own music video show in Detroit entitled "The Smiley Show" (1998-2004) I quickly jumped at the opportunity which led to me not only hosting the video show but writing, programming and editing segments."The Smiley Show" quickly became Detroit's #1 music video show according to Comcast Cable.
"The Smiley Show" opened up several avenues including an opportunity to host my own radio show. Once again, I jumped at the opportunity. My dedication to radio led to rapid job promotions including, Music Director, Promotions Director, Assistant Program Director and Program Director with Radio One Detroit (2003-2011)
I am currently working as a freelance video / content editor, host and online marketing representative. I can be reached at any of the social networking outlets below.
