Smita Alves

Smita has been trained by Smt. Anjani Ambegaokar for almost 30 years, was the lead dancer for her company and has toured across the US and Canada performing at universities, festivals and conducting master workshops. Smita's forte is her intricate footwork and expression. She was showcased in a solo performance as an Emerging Artist through the Music Circle of Southern California. Highlights of her tours include Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival, International Indian Dance Festival, Oregon Shakespeare festival, Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, United Nations and more.
