SmiteMatter is David A Israel

I make music using only iOS devices and music applications. Starting in 2009 with just an iPod Touch and early music apps, I was instantly hooked. The concept of being totally free to autonomously create music anywhere with no need for anything else was extremely habit forming. Since then I have primarily been using mostly iPads 2&3. The technology has evolved so rapidly with increasing quality, power, and capability. It is a great feeling to be free from the constraints of wires or bulky equipment. Someday, maybe soon iOS could replace computers. Who knows? Stranger things have happened.

My first CD "Technopolis Lost" release in October 2011 included music I made early on with just that iPod Touch, as well as my first iPad compositions. It was released by Fateless Flows Music, a first of its kind. My album has recieved most attention from U.K. and Europe where some tracks are consistently played on radio over there. Thanks to CDBaby.com it has been made widely available to the most popular digital music sales websites including iTunes and Amazon.com.

I am currently working on my next CD which will be less beat driven than Technopolis Lost, and more spacey, ambient. The stuff I always enjoyed most. I love to learn and create. Experimenting is always part of the process.

I also review iOS music apps on my blog page (SmiteMatter.com) where I have been fortunate to have a warm and growing readership.
