Clayton Smith
Lubbock, Texas, United States
My name is Clayton Smith and I am attending the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. I am studying finance with additional off-campus studies in energy commerce.
I was born and raised In Midland, Tx to Shelley and Chip Smith, and grew up in an Oil and Gas family and aspire to start and remain in that industry.
along with attending Texas Tech University, I have also attended N.O.L.S. (National Outdoor Leadership School). I did my 2013 Spring semester abroad in Baja, Mexico. during this, I traveled 100+ miles from coast to coast on foot over mountains camping every night, while planning and leading expeditions within my group. I completed 15 hours of course work and studying leadership skills, and group dynamic skills.
Along with the coast to coast travel, I also raveled 150+ miles sea kayaking the coast of Baja in the Sea of Cortez planning expeditions and leading expeditions within my group.
After finishing the sea kayaking portion, I traveled 150+ miles sailing the coast of Baja in the Sea of Cortez planning expeditions and leading expeditions within my group.
Growing up in my family and getting the chance to experience the things I have done, I have gained an excellent work ethic, a persistent drive for success and a thrill for learning.
