Jasmin Smith

I am an undergraduate student attending North Carolina A&T State University majoring in psychology. I am currently a SROP Scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While participating in SROP I am conducting research with Dr. Teran-Garcia in a Food Science and Human Nutrition lab. My research focuses on specific genes and their link to obesity. For the future, my research interests include the effects of neighborhood environment on child and adolescent development and also the effect of racial/ethnic backgrounds on education.
