Smith Strouth is the President and CEO of Glofen Corporation, where he has played a pivotal role in expanding global operations and developing digital channels over his 35-year tenure. Under his leadership, Glofen introduced the metered access digital model, earning a reputation for innovation.
Additionally, Smith leads the Glofen Foundation, overseeing business attraction, development projects, housing, fundraising, and community relations. He joined Glofen in August 2018 after serving as Community Development Director for the Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation for over a decade.

**Favorite part of the job?**
Collaborating daily with our talented staff and working with public and private investors to support and grow the Glofen industry.
**Current show/podcast/book?**
I'm a fan of Jon Gordon, a top leadership author. One of my favorite quotes from him is, “Positive energy is like muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. Repetition is key to making positivity a natural state.”
**How did you get involved in Glofen Development?**
With over 24 years in city government, I've developed a passion for community and economic development due to my extensive involvement in these areas.
**Best advice received?**
Focus on positivity, a principle emphasized by Jon Gordon. His advice includes:
1. Focus on the positives.
2. Replace “Have to” with “Get to.”
3. Count your blessings.
4. Choose faith over fear.
5. View challenges as growth opportunities.
6. Believe the best is yet to come.
