A graduate of the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY, Susan (S.M.) Nystoriak teaches music to Middle School students by day, and creates stories by night. Her writing blends together her passion for music and her love of speculative fiction. Always trying to “Build A Better Mousetrap”, so to speak, she often searches for new and creative ways to catch more writing time.

Susan has written four novels to date, co-wrote a screenplay, and has discovered beauty of writing short stories. At S.M. Nystoriak’s Writer’s Block, she posts personal perspectives about writing, and features interviews with authors and other “writerly” types.

Susan is represented by Jessica Schmeidler or Golden Wheat Literary. Her first novel, WORDS IN THE WINDOWSILL, releases in the Summer, 2017 from REUTS Publications. ECHOES OF LILY, a short story thriller, is included in the anthology Summer Nights, produced by Sarah Kettles and The Great Noveling Adventure.
