Sandy Montelongo

Hi, I'm Sandy. I also go by Sandia, SandyMo, Monte, Sandy Pants, or just Pants. I started working in marketing and promotions at the age of 12 after learning about a $20/hour part-time gig posted in Drama class! I soon discovered my love for media and entertainment.

With degrees in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin & Fordham University along with Certificates in HTML & Filmmaking from NYU & New York Film Academy respectively, I became employed at 3-letter acronym companies which include two professional sports leagues. I worked several years in the broadcasting department at the NBA and then another 7 years at the NFL where I traveled the world marketing the brand and the game of American football. I soon moved up the ladder & onto the revenue generating side of business as the Director of Integrated Marketing at MTV. There, I helped launch a new Viacom channel, literally learned by fire, and became an expert in promoting national brands across media screens & consumer touch points for a decade. My specialties also include pitch development, project planning & execution. I'm known as a respected manager with a strong commitment to people, encouraging personal and professional development, with a strategic vision to engage consumers and connect people of all ages.

After living in different parts of the nation, I left "corporate" and started the entrepreneurial path for meaningful work in my hometown. I now run social media marketing & digital ad-buy campaigns for several non-profits and health-care clinics - projects that feed the soul. You can find me working on my laptop at different loungy-type coffee shops or trying to reach the recommended 12,000 daily steps on my FitBit!

Cool facts about me: I can hoola hoop endlessly, volunteer at the local burn unit, ran 3 marathons, & attended 5 Super Bowls! I was featured as Woman on the Move in a national magazine-try posing & balancing your 3-inch heel atop one end of a football in Giant Stadium! I've met President Bill Clinton & Chef Emeril Lagasse & have their signed autographed books in my library to prove it. Well-traveled, but exploring the Grand Canyon & riding a blimp remain to be checked off the bucket list:)
