A great day for me is automating a task to save the humans from wasting time on mundane repetitive tasks better spent on interesting complex ones. Call me an Automation Engineer and Evangelist as my goal is always to replace people with a Simple Shell Script. Maybe I need that on a business card: I'll Replace You With A Simple Shell Script.

Current program areas: Georgia Archives, INGRESS (Intra-Georgia Registration Sharing System), DBA management automation, load testing, and big data (predictive analytics). Former projects: GeorgiaVIEW (WebCT, Blackboard, Desire2Learn).

Also, I manage a tad of blogging. Technology is not just my job, it is something I love.

Vendors love to report something is "operating as designed" almost as much as I love proving to them they were wrong.
