I began my journey towards a rewarding career in the healthcare industry as dual-degree seeking undergraduate at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana.
With diligence, self-discipline, and massive amounts of coffee, I was able to complete my Bachelor of Science in Health Services with a concentration in Health Administration in 2011 after approximately two years of baccalaureate studies. I graduated as an University Honors Scholar and the honor of magna cum laude. I rounded out my traditional four years of undergraduate studies by obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Radiologic & Imaging Sciences in 2013 with the honor of magna cum laude.
My clinical background in the healthcare industry is diagnostic medical sonography. My experience includes Abdomen, OB/GYN, Small Parts, and Adult/ Pediatric/ Fetal Echocardiography. My professional credentials include:
RDMS-- (registered diagnostic medical sonographer) in both Abdomen and Obstetric/Gynecologic specialties
RDCS-- (registered diagnostic cardiac sonographer) in Adult Echocardiography
I work as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in the Maternal Fetal Medicine & Genetics Center at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana. I also serve as an adjunct faculty instructor at the University of Southern Indiana instructing courses in the cardiac sonography track to undergraduate students. My sonography interests are perinatal sonography, fetal echocardiography, and adult echocardiography, three-dimensional gynecologic sonography and undergraduate sonography education.
As a young careerist, I am enthusiastic, goal-oriented, and committed to continuing my education and experience. I will complete my Master of Health Administration degree in July of 2014. My career goals include obtaining the CPHQ credential, continuing my education in analytical applications of healthcare informatics, obtaining FACHE status and pursuing doctoral studies in the future.
