The idea behind Purogenics was first conceived when Israel Haroldsen (President & CEO) and a friend were discussing the challenges their friends and family with MCS and fragrance allergies faced. Israel resolved that he would find, create, and produce a product line that anyone with MCS could use.

MCS and fragrance allergies are diseases in which the affected person has extremely sensitive skin, trouble breathing, or other issues related to the chemicals around them. This makes life difficult and often stressful. Israel was determined to create a product that would help the lives of people with MCS and fragrance allergies. Using past work experience, Israel soon found innovative solutions of soap.
