We're a new fice piece band from Croydon, South London who - with our Guitar, Cello, Bass, Percussion, Accordion, Meldoica - are building a strong reputation on the London alternative scenes. Our first professional recording can be heard on their debut 5 track EP 'Carnival'. While recording Carnival we were approached by a number of producers and lucky enough to be given free studio time to record with Steve Hill (of Evi Vine’s band) and Paul Wilkinson (of Duke Special) whilst the bulk of production and mixing for the record was carried out by up and coming producer and band friend, Shelley Uprichard with the help of bassist Jim Hewins. The mastering was kindly done by Joe Gilder. We thank you all! In a recent (20th Sept '10) online review by German indie label Against it Records the EP was described as: " wonderful & warm sounding music with fantastic instrumentation and brilliant vocals. It just feels good to listen to these songs, even if a strange kind of Melancholia grabs for your soul " Songs from the EP are currently being featured on a range of internet radio stations as well as a number of local UK stations and also most notably on BBC radio 6. 2011 shall see us recording our debut album and playing a few festivals and gigs in our home town of Croydon.
